Who We Are

John H. Conley, CFA

John received his Bachelor’s Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1975.  He later earned the Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1980 and is now one of the only fifteen of the 90,000 CFA's in the world that have 25 consecutive years of Professional Development Accreditation.

John is an active member of many civic organizations, including Ak-Sar-Ben, Offutt Advisory Committee and the University of Nebraska.  His professional associations include having served as President of the CFA Society of Nebraska. 
John founded Conley Investment Counsel in 1986 after many years experience in investment research and marketing.  In addition to his role as CEO, John also sits on the Investment Committee as Chief Investment Strategist.
When outside the office, John enjoys golf, rodeo, supporting many philanthropic causes, and enjoying time with his daughter.

Tom Larson
Tom received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from the University of Nebraska in 1980. Before joining Conley Investment Counsel in May 2012, Tom worked as an institutional broker with various firms for over 30 years.

Tom is a member of the Investment Committee and is also responsible for administrative and client services.
When outside the office, Tom enjoys American history, music, reading, and spending time with his wife and three children.



Elaine Gibbs

Elaine is originally from England where she attended Business College. She has lived and worked in England, Libya, Hawaii, and now Nebraska.

As Office Manager at Conley Investment Counsel, Elaine is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the office. She assists with client communications, scheduling, and helps with compliance by maintaining books and records. Elaine has been part of the service team since 2006. 

Her interests include listening to music, reading, dining out with friends, working out, gardening, the arts, and playing golf.
